Dollar Store Happenings

Well hello!

Yes, I changed my blog AGAIN!
Even after my last post where I apologized for switching it up so often.

If anyone was trying to follow it last night...
they would have see at least 25 different changes :-/.
But, it’s all good now..no more changes.

Dollar Store Happenings...
I love the dollar store.
Twice a month, during my daughters vocal
lessons, Clay and I go to a HUGE Dollar Tree.
What do I love about the store?
Their home decorating accessories,
some toys,
seasonal things and now I’m a
believer of some of their cleaning products.

Here’s a list of items from my last trip.
-Quick erasers (like Mr. Clean sponges)(2 boxes)(means 4 sponges!)
-Moss covered rocks (3 bags)
-Black twigs (i have plans for them)

I was pretty skeptical about the sponges.
So I set how to see if they worked.

First, I cleaned a spot on my wall where my
Chocolate lab likes to rub his body to scratch himself.
I wiped one section with just the wet side
of the sponge and another with the "magical" white side.
I decided it didn’t really make that much of a difference.
At that point I realized I couldn’t leave the wall like that so
I had Clay scrub it down with just soap and water.
Worked like a charm!
Then, I attacked my cabinet doors with the sponge.
First, let me explain why they are so filthy.

Someone (previous owner) painted them with
 flat white paint...gross.
I am in the process of picking out NEW paint colors,
so I don’t really care about them.

My findings...The sponge was awesome!
It inspired me to clean every single cabinet door!
(And Pantry door)
Here are my before and afters...

Disgusting
Much Better

The constantly changing blog!

If my poor family is trying to look at my blog throughout the day,
I apologize for the MULTIPLE changes.
I think I'll keep it here for at least a few days now....hopefully.

My weekend was uneventful, except for the fact that I finished the 2nd Hunger Games book.
I'm completely hooked and CANNOT wait for the movie to come out in March.

I just learned that the 3 books will be turned into 4 movies..
they are way better than the Twilight series.

Did I mention that Mikaela, my daughter, is in Italy right now?
She's having an amazing time and I cannot wait for the pictures.
And she has the last book in the series...ugh

I think I should also mention that Zac, my oldest,
was just recently hired by Apple as a specialist.
That's what they call their sales associates.
On his first day, he led the store in sales...he was born to do this job.

Hope everyone is having a great day.

A day at Disney

HIGHLIGHTS FROM JANUARY

We surprised Clay with a trip to Walt Disney World on January 3rd.
That day is significant because I am CERTAIN that Florida
broke the record for the coldest day in history!!

No lie, it was 38 degrees for most of the day!
My picture quality is just O.K. because all of these were taken with my phone.

He loved Animal Kingdom, But couldn't wait to see the castle.

This is what a sick day looks like when you're home schooled and live in Florida
(unless it's a freezing, record breaking day!)

My new haircut. Yes, it was taken in the grocery store.

My dear friend Stephanie came for a visit. She's an amazing photographer and can't wait to
   share her photos here.
