Although I have not posted in over a month {yikes}, so much has been happening!
Aside from all the house projects i've done, here's the rundown.
1. Mikaela had an endoscopy to determine the cause of her chronic sore throat. Turns out she had yeast in her esophagus and ulcers in her stomach. Now after 3 weeks on meds for both, she feels like a new person!
2. My sister came for a visit.
3. We managed to pull off a surprise party for Mikaela's sweet 16.
4. Clay had a karate tournament.
5. And Zac is continuing to do his job well at Apple.
Our family has had the privilege of getting to know several women that are currently in recovery. These women are from different walks of life, but are currently living together as they go through treatment. The founder of the program allowed us to have Mikaela's party at the women's home. I could not have done it without them. They decorated the home with party decorations, set out all the food, and even put together a photo board of Mikaela through the years.
I love them dearly and pray often that they find peace and joy in their new found lives.

Karate
Clay's awesome kick! I know it's blurry..the lighting was terrible and I used my phone.
Did you notice he was air borne? And, on his first kick, he kicked two boards together. He was tied for third and had to do another kick {this one} and all three judges picked him.
Exhausted...but happy.
